Over 200,000 people attend the first 8 World’s Greatest Hobby on Tours

The 2006 World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour season successfully ended in St. Paul, Minnesota the weekend of February 25 & 26, 2006. To date over 200,000 people have attended a World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour since it’s beginning in December of 2004. Over half of these people have never been to a train show before. The World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour is a model railroad show designed to appeal to the masses and to introduce the general public to the hobby in an exciting, family-oriented atmosphere. The show includes manufacturers, hobby shops, operating displays, interactive activities, workshops, and contests.

The World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour is currently making plans on how to promote model railroading in the future. Announcement of their future plans will be made on their web site www.wghshow.com in May 2006.
